If you want to register with the Ehsaas program, you can do so online. The program is designed to make the process of registering for the program as easy as possible. Read on for more information. Here are some of the steps you can take to register. Read the information carefully. After you register, you will be able to find out how to register for the program and how to use the registration process.
Remittances
In Pakistan, the government is implementing the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Transfers initiative to help the poor. This initiative will provide a minimum emergency cash of Rs 12,000 to the poorest population, with four rupees of every dollar donated being matched. The initiative is administered by the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division and will be guided by a policy council.
The Ehsaas Kafalat Program will provide a monthly stipend of Rs 2,333 to one crore poor women. The funds will be administered through Ehsaas Registration and NADRA Centers. Beneficiaries will use their Ehsaas Card to access the program. Designated bank branches will be opened to allow poor women to withdraw cash with dignity. In addition, the Ehsaas Kafalat Program will provide an account for poor women to save their money.
Registration
A new SMS campaign has been launched by the federal government to identify households eligible for the three KW solar panel system under the Ehsaas Kafaalat program. To participate in the program, eligible households can send their CNIC numbers to the SMS code 8171. The new program is a response to news reports that the federal government had disqualified 820,000 people from the Benazir Income Support Program.
After you register through Ehsaas online portal, you will receive a verification SMS and email. Once you receive these messages, you can withdraw the funds from your ATM. Pay attention to the SMS number 8171 as it may contain frauds. Several different numbers may send fake SMS to poor people demanding them to send them money. Beware of such SMS and only register after you have received the genuine SMS.
Payments
The Ehsaas Program is a welfare scheme that distributes cash amounts to people in need. Eligible individuals receive an SMS to their mobile phones through the 8171 service. Then they go to an Ehsaas Help Desk nearby to receive the cash amount. Note that the program does not apply to government employees, Zakat families, or landowners. However, pensioners and government employees are eligible to receive cash amounts. Those people with a higher score are eligible to receive cash payments through the program.
Under the Ehsaas Program, the government has designated government schools as specialized sites for disbursement of relief money. The program has also approved designated centers for distributing relief money to deserving people. These centers will be staffed by Education Department and Bank staff. The program will give 12000 rupees to every family in need. Initially, these centers will serve only residents of 17 districts.
Campsites
The BISP has approved a new scheme to allow disbursement of Ehsaas Kafalat benefits to eligible families at specially designated campsites. The program allows HBL, BVS bank, NADRA, and other government employees to accept cash disbursements from the Ehsaas program at designated campsites. The Ehsaas One Window Center will consolidate all the services of the Ehsaas Program under one roof.
The amount of Ehsaas Emergency Cash distribution has risen from 12000 rupees to 13000 rupees. The program is now operating in 14 districts and has established 50 biometric-enabled Ehsaas centers. The biometric authentication of beneficiaries has strengthened the link between social security and government support. The biometrically enabled Ehs digital payment system is fully operational, and Ehsaas Emergency Cash has been disbursed to over 12 million households across the country.
Remittances from ATMs
Remittances from ATMs in the Ehsaas program are a convenient way for people to access their monthly allowances. The Ehsaas team will contact applicants by SMS, and the successful ones will be notified in the process. Once approved, the cash will be available at biometrically enabled POS and ATMs.
The government of Pakistan can prioritize the enrollment and application of women in the emergency cash scheme by implementing a policy that will make this a more convenient way to access money. Remittances from ATMs are particularly useful for women, who are typically excluded from such schemes because they lack a national ID. The Ehsaas program must also prioritize efforts to broaden its reach.
Disbursements
The Federal Government recently approved biometric enabled payment points across Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP, GB, and AJK. The Ehsaas program’s head, Senator Sania Nishtar, has considerable experience in dealing with financial handouts. Her background includes dealing with phony claims and inaccurate national poverty ledgers. With the new technology, she has rolled out a hybrid system that allows her to cross-match online queries against spending histories. The result is that over one million people have been removed from the program’s list of deserving recipients.
BISP has designated campsites in government buildings to facilitate Ehsaas Kafaalat beneficiaries. The government will grant an exception for the BISP retailers and HBL employees. The Deputy Commissioner will share the addresses of these places with the BISP field teams. Once the beneficiaries have been verified through NADRA, they will not have an option to open a savings account.
